Cereals, Oilseeds and By-products
Argentina is one of the world’s leading exporters of soybeans, wheat, and corn, and their by-products — such as soybean or corn meal and oil, and animal feed pellets — hold a prominent position in international trade.
Minerals
Iron is a key resource for steel production. Although Argentina is not a major producer, it holds reserves in Jujuy and San Juan and exports moderate volumes to Asia and Latin America. The country also serves as a logistics corridor for minerals from Bolivia and Brazil, facilitating their exit to the Atlantic.
Steel, Machinery, and Agricultural Supplies and Products
Argentina plays an active role in the trade of steel, machinery, and agricultural products, both as a regional exporter and a strategic importer. Steel is primarily produced in Rosario and Buenos Aires, serving the domestic market and neighboring countries. At the same time, the import of machinery from Europe, China, and the United States supports the competitiveness of Argentina’s agricultural sector.
